A popular garden for Ume plum blossoms with stunning views of Mount Fuji
Furouen Garden opened to the public in 1897. The vast hillside grounds are home to over 30 varieties of flowering trees and shrubs, about 2,000 trees in all.
From February to March, visitors can enjoy the graceful Ume plum blossoms in bloom all over the hillside.
There is an observation platform at the top of the hill offering panoramic views of Mount Fuji and the Southern Japan Alps.

Opening Times | Open from 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry at 16:30) from early February to late March. The garden also opens its doors to the public for a limited time every year in November in time for the peak fall foliage season. |
