Furouen Garden

A popular garden for Ume plum blossoms with stunning views of Mount Fuji
Furouen Garden opened to the public in 1897. The vast hillside grounds are home to over 30 varieties of flowering trees and shrubs, about 2,000 trees in all.
From February to March, visitors can enjoy the graceful Ume plum blossoms in bloom all over the hillside, a signifier of the start of spring.
There is an observation hut at the top of the hill offering panoramic views of Mount Fuji and the Southern Japan Alps.
