Domaine Q Winery

ドメーヌQ

Carefully selected grapes make for great wine at Japan’s smallest winery
(wine tastings and tours of the winery are temporarily suspended as a preventive measure against the spread of COVID-19)

Known as the smallest winery in Japan, Domaine Q produces wine from a wide range of grape cultivars among which Green Delaware, local Koshu, Muscat Bailey, Neo Muscat, and Pinot Noir, a rare variety in Japan.

Going by the philosophy that good grapes make good wine, Domaine Q makes it a point to carefully grow high-quality grapes on an uphill vineyard area of over 25,000 square meters overlooking the Kofu basin, that your guide will take you to as part of the winery tour.

Domaine Q has particularly garnered attention in the world of winemaking for its "Nounoubeau" wine, the first new wine to be released every year in Japan, made with early ripening green Delaware grapes.

The winery grounds also include an in-house restaurant ("Bordeaux") specializing in beef steak and a wedding chapel.
